Shopping spree,Household chores,Article and views

Last evening after work, took mom for couple of malls for shopping. All stuff that she needs to take to Singapore. So we spent like 3 hours doing that and i picked up chocolates for myself.I have been eating a lot of it lately, turning back into that Choco-holic!The other day I saw a book on Chocoholics and it was mentioned ,how its still a mystery that when women eat 2 pounds of chocolates she gains 5 pounds!:-) It doesnot apply to me though...

Once we got back home,I ordered pizza,it has been a while since I have had one. Also some garlic bread with coke.Gosh, all that junk made me feel alive for some time!Had to do the dishes and the clothes!:-( I hate doing the dishes, its the worst job at home.I can do laundry, dust the furniture, vaccum, organize things in the room but never liked to do dishes! Its such a horrible process of scrub, wash, dry and put them in shelves, knowing the fact that you have pull them out in less than 6 hours and use them again!Yea,i get easily bored.

In the Business Times,I read an article on how China and India have conviniently not been invited to the G-8.These 2 economies are much larger and today, more powerful than economies like Russia,Canada and Germany.Yet,they donot get to participate in the summit. The concept of Third World countries come in and no matter how much more we prove,we just dont seem to make it to the top. This is mainly because we de-grade ourselves. And ,we, here is media. The media is utterly negative. They seem to tell the nation how unsafe and unreliable a place we are, rather than highlight the daily achievements. Not that they need to cover up the facts when its dirty but that success needs that importance too.Else at the end of the day there would be no point talking about the latest statistics on how many Indians have moved abroad and donot 'serve' the nation!

I think I would end my blogging for now, seems like i have caught on a serious note already! :-)

Suddenly I feel there's time in my hands....the following thoughts cross my mind... - that model on the cover looks awesome, how is that so? - if they actually airbrush pictures , then how come there is a good looking category? - i want to see a brand new juice in the market, tired of the same old ones... - i feel like shopping often.its more a thought than action. - i like clothes that some other women wears...i want stuff like those! - how come there is traffic only when i want to drive? - water is good for me, very good....keep drinking..has anyone tried flavored water? - is flavored water as good for health? - how come some advertisements are soooo good? is it just one person or a team? - when everyone is busy how come i have time? - how is it that my phone rings only when i want to sleep or when i am occupied? - why do i get tanned so quickly? - how come technology is always surprising to me? - why didn't i get into sports or music when i was younger? - why is it that some ...

Hey!!!

its been a while since we have had some news....s0 here we go, The most famous 22K jeweller ,probably globally, has asked its male employees to shave off their moustaches +facial hair to keep up with their jobs!the examples are set by the owner, himself ,the managers and all the male employees irrespective of the hierarchy!now,i find this news very very interesting!having to look formal is part of most jobs but shaving off moustaches, what formality would it create?does grooming have to go to this extent???what is most capturing is the 'pride' of these men who hail from the land that claims to be 'God's own country' seems to be hit..... So India and Pakistan,i still believe, could be the best neighbours ever, but we have decided to be influenced by political pressures even after all these years!Anyways, the point is while Indian films are "banned" in Pakistan the Indian stars are not!which goes on to show how strong piracy is.so we have ms rai, going over to thei...

The 1969 reunion!

My dad is currently enjoying "retirement", he recently tells me that he is soon having a 1969 college reunion! While just hearing that got me excited, the stories of how he found his college mates after 42 years was even more interesting. To begin with, he bumped into one of them and that kick started the whole process. They chatted about what they have been upto so far in life and if they were in touch with others. From there on, one thing led to another, he tells me. He met up with a few who never left town and stayed on for all these years. Today, they have managed to arrange a gathering of 25 classmates, all this without the involvement of Internet at all! Dad tells me that a couple of never touched a computer! That just concludes that the Internet is overrated and its sad that even if we are equipped with more tools, no one has time for another. So meeting up is pretty much a big deal in today's world. So proud of the 1969 batch!
