Weekend events

Packed for an overnight stay on Thursday morning hoping things would work out, started late to work. For more than 3-4 days I have been starting late to work.Since traffic is not bad I take advantage of that too.So its been convinient to cook, clean and then be in office a little before 9am.Not having the boss around when you really need that sort of time is such a blessing right now!
Work was quite a bit on Thursday, though i enjoyed burger, fries and juice for lunch-the weekend start was good...mmmm,then headed off to the library, spent more than 1.5 hours reading a fresh book on marketing in the KH library.Nice library, cos no one really comes and i love the idea of having the PC on every desk, making it convenient to simultanously check on the lecture notes.Class began around 1700 hrs expecting to go on till 1900 hrs.Tasks about assignment were discussed and a little before 1900 hrs we were free to go home since it was becoming overload for a week's target and we decided to have more workshops.
I headed off to GSN and RSN's place.I got to drive RSN's X-trail,wow!lot of fun!smooth vehicle and the first 4x4 i drove!:-) JA and Sam called up,then once we got back home we kept asking about the dinner plans. The men as usual ,didnt want to step out,so SG,Rich and me went to Lamcy.Rich wanted to see the DSS events, while that kept him busy we bought him som KFC and we bought chinese for ourselves. It was good fun but kids can be tough and my God very tough at times!Once we got back home,RSN was all set to leave and we watched random stuff on TV until his car came.Once he left GSN played a movie called Yakeen, gosh it was crap!so i slept off and then come next morning we decided to go to a place called Dragon Mart after breakfast. We drove to Jumeirah, they have such beautiful villas out there and specially those that face the beach!Dragon Mart was closed so we explored Nad Al Sheba Club.Amazing place, nice drinks, sports on every TV screen,a beautiful view of the golf course and it had a pond in the centre, simply superb!i tried out Tropical Trio(mixture of kiwi, strawberry and mango) and had tortillas, yummy!then we went home for a nap when SG and me were bent upon watching Parineeta. We caught it at the Ibn Batuta Mall, the place was crowded n we picked up Nachos with salsa and jalepenos! We finished that in the first half of the movie, bought another tray for the next half and thus munched through out the movie.
Oh!the movie, well it was ok.What i enjoyed?well, the classic feel, the clothes, cars, haveli, the jewellery, the Moulin Rouge!LOL!it was all fun to observe, the story wasn't all that great, but the relation pictured was too close to heart to ignore!the 1st half had some pace but all that was lost after the intermission!Rich got his face painted -some bat man kinda thing, eeks. There was a weird act at the mall.A gora had this huge balloon over his head and he was walking around waving his hand....very weird act!
After we got back home had dinner, drive was very tiring and crashed on the bed in no time!

Nice weekend....

Suddenly I feel there's time in my hands....the following thoughts cross my mind... - that model on the cover looks awesome, how is that so? - if they actually airbrush pictures , then how come there is a good looking category? - i want to see a brand new juice in the market, tired of the same old ones... - i feel like shopping often.its more a thought than action. - i like clothes that some other women wears...i want stuff like those! - how come there is traffic only when i want to drive? - water is good for me, very good....keep drinking..has anyone tried flavored water? - is flavored water as good for health? - how come some advertisements are soooo good? is it just one person or a team? - when everyone is busy how come i have time? - how is it that my phone rings only when i want to sleep or when i am occupied? - why do i get tanned so quickly? - how come technology is always surprising to me? - why didn't i get into sports or music when i was younger? - why is it that some ...

Rare Snow day! 01/10/2021

After a grilling 2020, 2021 started out with a mixture of emotions - grim but hopeful, distant from family but long WhatsApp calls, rainy but looking forward to the sunshine in the coming days. A lot of R&R is how we started our New Years, thanks to the long weekend. We read, watched tv, cooked and slept a lot!  Once work started, it didn't even feel very different from the past few weeks. Unfortunately a few days into the first working week, there was chaos in the DC Capitol and many State Capitols. A riot started by an infuriating and possibly out-of-work men and women wanting to display their passionate support of an incapable President. Back to feeling uncertain and grim about the future, we were surprised by Mother Nature providing us a rare snow fall day here in Austin, TX! It was simply amazing and a great 2nd Sunday of the year where we got 3.5-4 inches of snow ! The sights were remarkable during and after the snow fall. The entire city and neighbors were thrilled...

On to the next chapter of life

This post is a long time coming... I don't need to give any excuses though, I am a new mommy after all! After all that baking, my munchkin arrived on 20th September 2013...yes very much on time baby! The first 5 days were extremely stressful as my precious one was under monitoring in NICU, which meant I didn't have the luck of holding him close to me in the first few hours and also a lot of separation due to us being in different rooms...it was certainly difficult. But as far as I recall I didn't cry at all since he was doing great and was perfectly healthy. He confused the doctors with his heart pattern in the first 2 hours of his life and then came back to normal on his own. I strongly believe he didn't take labor process well and certainly not the pushing part... poor little baby. After we got clearance from all his tests (God is great!) ; we were allowed to take him home. It was a feeling beyond words, a realization of how lucky we all were as a family and with...
