The first quarter of this year, has been pretty good...Besides the ups and downs, I am glad I did quite a bit....I could review them as, - managed to finish my 3rd assignment...but the 4th one is up now and pending! - finally took up the violin classes and completed a lill more than a month there already! - completed a year with my current organization and got a raise too!(Now thats the perk for some months..:P). - did some money management finally, I hope that goes on well. -tried out many more recipies, that came out much better than expected! -had a good share of partying, relaxing and movies -Lost a few, gained a few ; gripping on, with the belief that -" nothing can last forever!".

Congrats Sis n Athena!

Last night when I was chatting to Athena, she reminded me...so here's wishing you a very happy Wedding Anniversary!! Hope you have a great time! I can't still believe that time has flown so fast, it feels like just some months back we met before your wedding...2 years, phew! And to my sis, its 11 months now! I can still remember the wedding function so clearly and what all we did soon before and after the wedding...then it was mixed feelings and now its like I am unable to really digest the fact that it will soon be one year....!! Have a great time ! Wishing you both many many more years of togetherness and happiness!!

Response from nature

The tag line of this picture is "Yesterday Bird flew....Today, bird flu!" "The boomerang effect" is precisely the response from each of our actions or you could also put it down as Newton's third law "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction." Be it plants, air, water, animals or birds, we get back for the cruelty shown to them. There is simply no escape!I clearly remember the very sad pictures of innumerable number of birds killed due to water pollution. We always consider ourselves as higher, but I guess its time we think again, the way the world is panicking about the new- found-fatal flu. Suddenly I feel we are bunch of fools still believing that we can control the planet!

Colorful Updates!

H a p p y H o l i ! ! ! Here's some colorful news for a change! LOL !! ;-) - Dubai stocks fell like crazy yesterday with investors panicking. Not that the trend has been healthy in the past 2 months. 2006 had no great start too but 14th of March was scary with the indices dropping down by 12 pc in one day, which would mean more than 50 pc fall from November 05( highest ever)!! Emaar also reached its lowest ever along with many other major stocks.Yea, volatile market and suddenly the region seems to have calmed down from a single-day experience cos even the Saudi markets dropped around 5 pc and about 3pc fall for Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain. Not great news but calls for patience...it was called "Black Tuesday". -Did you know that Jayalalitha, the CM of Tamil Nadu has been nominated for Nobel Peace Prize this year? The World federation of Tamil Youth has nominated Jayalalitha's name from India, Sharjah(UAE) and the US, for her "dedicated efforts in ushering Peace, P

Escape to One & Only

I enjoyed a one night escape( that's how I want to call it) to a rich and spoilt resort far far away from the busy city of Dubai. It was almost end of last week that I had this opportunity to stay at One & Only - Royal Mirage located near Dubai Marina. I agree, drive to that end of Dubai can be painful especially when you are alone and are not quite sure of the route...but what the hell, if you have munch-ables, the right collection of music to blast and find the right people to pause and check on the route. Once at the Resort, it felt like a totally different world. The 2,000 acre area boasts of rich greenery, excellent landscaping, best of the restaurants, cafe's and bars, private access to the beach, 3 swimming pools in each of its sections- namely The Palace, Arabian Court and Spa. I stayed at the Arabian court-here the corridors can be so quiet that it could be eerie at times. Besides that the rooms are Huge with a lot of work on the ceiling, the bed and even above the

DIWANI HANDI

A Sanjeev Kapoor idea, I liked it for the sour taste it creates. Its a good break from the usual!! TP, this is the recipe that I had mentioned to you on chat a couple of days back. Get a clue...!

The Pink Panther(2006) was definitely worth watching contrast to the 4/10 review rating. A hilarious package- the kinda movie you want to watch to take your mind off the daily worries and you can laugh so much that your tummy could hurt! Steve Martin is simply superb as Inspector Clousseau - his accent and face expression perfect! Beyonce Knowles as Xania looks great and smooth sails through her small role in the movie.Emily Mortimer as Nicole has some awkward scenes with Steve that is supposedly comical ! :-P The movie is supposed to be based on the 1964 classic, but I haven't caught up with the orginal to make a justified opinion. All I know is with least of expectation I enjoyed the comedy, mostly , cos sometimes its forced upon us......this one is a must see to help feel lighter! Enjoy! p.s:- I miss the cartoon so much!

Siddhuism...

Is it just me or is Siddhu on practically all desi channels these days??! Not very long after the commenting on India-Pakistan cricket series, we have him commenting on India-England series. He makes it on News channel Interviews and group discussions on the topic. Not quite a cricket fan, I don't follow the in-depth analysis of cricket, but the point is how he stands out from the crowd. Nope, I am not talking his turban, I am talking about his accent, his excellent command over both English and Hindi and a big highlight on his body language! As I move over to watch the very hyped- SaReGaMaPa , I find Siddhu there too! This time he is all ready with his shaayaaris and rhyming philoshiphical lines . Whether the man knows much of music or not he definitely knows to awaken the crowd with his hosting abilities. His Hindi is perfect and he speaks with so much energy that no line goes without making an impression! This man is definitely doing a lot of running around....or have I been late
