Over the past couple of days

These couple of days has been quite a mixture.A mixture of fun, tiredness, good food, bad head aches and so on.Yesterday,it was light work at the office and left quite a bit for today. Then spent some good time at the library.I was so very glad to be interrupted by 2 phone calls, they make my day.Sometimes i think,so what if you can't have friends with you ,atleast you get to speak to them and have a cheer over the phone! The classes were pretty okay but after 2000 hrs it was quite a test to concentrate. The lecturer is pretty good with his examples, which sort of gets me going through the 4 hours! The drive back home was pretty smooth ,with the lack of usual blocks on the roads,it was much a pleasure to drive! Sigh, that reminds me,I have a class tomorrow and its like an overview...
Today was pretty cool too.Reached office quarter to eight and then finished up all the work.Being a Sunday,no phone calls/emails.Had planned to have lunch with Sam,so we met up at Gazebo's.I just realised,I didn't bother to look for the meaning of such word on their menu, their menu which had 7 pages of Non-veg items and just about 2 pages of veg items and a page dedicated to weird milkshakes and juices! The food was good, very decent, well made stuff.Shahi Mushroom is something I tried for the first time ever and it was pretty good, though Sam conviniently related the same to meat ,making my task difficult!
Once I got home, took mom out for the last minute shopping that she had to do for her trip. Then we got back, made some snacks,i had them and slept in the odd hours,my body still tired from last night.Woke up close to 2200 hours to have some dinner and post this!

has it ever happened to you??

Suddenly I feel there's time in my hands....the following thoughts cross my mind... - that model on the cover looks awesome, how is that so? - if they actually airbrush pictures , then how come there is a good looking category? - i want to see a brand new juice in the market, tired of the same old ones... - i feel like shopping often.its more a thought than action. - i like clothes that some other women wears...i want stuff like those! - how come there is traffic only when i want to drive? - water is good for me, very good....keep drinking..has anyone tried flavored water? - is flavored water as good for health? - how come some advertisements are soooo good? is it just one person or a team? - when everyone is busy how come i have time? - how is it that my phone rings only when i want to sleep or when i am occupied? - why do i get tanned so quickly? - how come technology is always surprising to me? - why didn't i get into sports or music when i was younger? - why is it that some ...

Hey!!!

its been a while since we have had some news....s0 here we go, The most famous 22K jeweller ,probably globally, has asked its male employees to shave off their moustaches +facial hair to keep up with their jobs!the examples are set by the owner, himself ,the managers and all the male employees irrespective of the hierarchy!now,i find this news very very interesting!having to look formal is part of most jobs but shaving off moustaches, what formality would it create?does grooming have to go to this extent???what is most capturing is the 'pride' of these men who hail from the land that claims to be 'God's own country' seems to be hit..... So India and Pakistan,i still believe, could be the best neighbours ever, but we have decided to be influenced by political pressures even after all these years!Anyways, the point is while Indian films are "banned" in Pakistan the Indian stars are not!which goes on to show how strong piracy is.so we have ms rai, going over to thei...

The 1969 reunion!

My dad is currently enjoying "retirement", he recently tells me that he is soon having a 1969 college reunion! While just hearing that got me excited, the stories of how he found his college mates after 42 years was even more interesting. To begin with, he bumped into one of them and that kick started the whole process. They chatted about what they have been upto so far in life and if they were in touch with others. From there on, one thing led to another, he tells me. He met up with a few who never left town and stayed on for all these years. Today, they have managed to arrange a gathering of 25 classmates, all this without the involvement of Internet at all! Dad tells me that a couple of never touched a computer! That just concludes that the Internet is overrated and its sad that even if we are equipped with more tools, no one has time for another. So meeting up is pretty much a big deal in today's world. So proud of the 1969 batch!
