Parineeta

So here's the review....Thanks to the Nachos,Cola and Corn we walked in about 5 minutes late to the movie hall.It had started off with some shaadi song by mamis and then you have Saif, looking older than usual, and his stern face walking away from his ex-lover,who is married but still desires him!So when he is advanced by her there is verbal abuse for the same and leaves her crying on the stairs. The movie sees debut of Vidya Balan(Iyer girl) in the movies. This woman carries a lot of confidence in her acting and she seems truly professional.I have noticed her twice in videos of Euphoria. The story is pretty ok,adapted from Saratchandra Chaterjee's novel, though its quite predictable. What one can enjoy is the classic feel, moving away from the modernism that we live in,this movie takes us back in time to life in havelis, vintage cars, purity in language, some amount of innocence!Sanjay Dutt as usual carries out his role in ease ,playing the character that almost breaks the relation between the 2 lovers. Then also comes in Diya Mirza,as usual with painful 'acting' as Saif's wanna-be.When Saif goes on to believe that the woman he loves/loved is married and imagines her to be living happily,he fails to try and understand the complete picture. We are then shown in the end that she is married to Saif himself and alive for him and none other! We have Rekha in the movie as the Moulin Rouge dance, does a very good job as ever,Raima Sen was passable too.The Calcutta setting seems almost perfect and the music by Shantanu Moitra, pretty good. The best numbers being "Piya bole..." and "Kaisi Paheli zindagani".The costumes were noticably rich in tradition! So that's Vidhu Vinod Chopra's venture+screen play efforts for the year,I believe its got good reviews. It deserves so too, good actors, good setting and very good timepass!

Suddenly I feel there's time in my hands....the following thoughts cross my mind... - that model on the cover looks awesome, how is that so? - if they actually airbrush pictures , then how come there is a good looking category? - i want to see a brand new juice in the market, tired of the same old ones... - i feel like shopping often.its more a thought than action. - i like clothes that some other women wears...i want stuff like those! - how come there is traffic only when i want to drive? - water is good for me, very good....keep drinking..has anyone tried flavored water? - is flavored water as good for health? - how come some advertisements are soooo good? is it just one person or a team? - when everyone is busy how come i have time? - how is it that my phone rings only when i want to sleep or when i am occupied? - why do i get tanned so quickly? - how come technology is always surprising to me? - why didn't i get into sports or music when i was younger? - why is it that some ...

Alexander graham bell is still my hero!

We are at a point where smart phones are the norm in the urban world. infact, if you didn't have one, you probably balanced it off with a smart tablet. I use a smart phone as well. But after my big excitement of having a tool that would "connect" me all the time through emails, chat, texts, Social network, games and more, I am not as thrilled. So I did ponder and I realize it's mainly cos I don't use my phone for its basic use as much, I mean calls. I have also noticed that I receive much lesser calls. Lack of the real human touch is missing. So I made more personal calls in the recent past and it felt good. I felt more close to the individual than writing an email or leaving a note on a social media site. The reason is because the conversations would actually develop and makes it more complete. Unlike a "how are things" on an email or text. Many friends agreed we should talk more, no matter how "busy" we agree life has turned out to be! ...

Fun weekend trip!!

South Lake Tahoe (Nevada) was our adventure trip this Saturday, about a 4 hr drive from where we live. we started early and until halfway i put my driving skills to test! the tuf time was for my hubby, not me...i was just glad at the opportunity!! :-)So i survived till Sacremento( i didnt know it was capital of CA). 2nd half of the drive was mainly on winding roads around the mountains while elevating yourself upto 7000ft! it was amazing as you get a scenic view of mountains n the lake below! awesome!! Once we entered the resort we first got a booking for para sail...I must admit from a distance it did look a bit too wild and so-not-like-me venture...but then the whole idea was to explore and try out new things...so went for it - from the 3 different heights of 400/800/1200ft we chose 800ft! i cudnt believe it myself, but i was in for it. so we walked around the beach area n enquired abt jet skiing while waiting for the parasail call.they made a group of 3 (a mother-daughter, a coupl...
