Happy Diwali/Happy Eid!

Wishing all had a great time for Diwali/Eid!

November has been great so far....with 5 days gone by- 4 of them being holidays, I can't ask for a better start! ;-)

We managed to go to the temple for Diwali,well going there isn't a big deal, the bigger deal is finding an allowed parking space during the Aarti time! Anyways, we made it , thanks to maybe lady luck ,we found parking after about 10 minutes of hunting!

Mehndi on the day of Eid was fun, lunching at VN's ,her little sis was too good with the designing!It was fun having a girlie chat for hours together.We dined at Mazjah-a lebanese joint at Irish Village.Very nice for a change, though very crowded, the place smelled only of sheesha and to dine in the open was enjoyable-thanks to the current pleasant weather!

I got myself a 6670,so that was the Yay! part of the holidays ! :-) I managed to get the blue color and spent a lot of time on time trying to personalize to the max! I am in love with it!!

Sam came for lunch-so that was also good fun!Am sure he had a nice time with all the crazy pics!

Mom n me had a good time lazing at home, sleeping loads and watching movies!

Holidays are over,am back to work today, am looking forward to the entire month-lots of stuff!

The 1969 reunion!

My dad is currently enjoying "retirement", he recently tells me that he is soon having a 1969 college reunion! While just hearing that got me excited, the stories of how he found his college mates after 42 years was even more interesting. To begin with, he bumped into one of them and that kick started the whole process. They chatted about what they have been upto so far in life and if they were in touch with others. From there on, one thing led to another, he tells me. He met up with a few who never left town and stayed on for all these years. Today, they have managed to arrange a gathering of 25 classmates, all this without the involvement of Internet at all! Dad tells me that a couple of never touched a computer! That just concludes that the Internet is overrated and its sad that even if we are equipped with more tools, no one has time for another. So meeting up is pretty much a big deal in today's world. So proud of the 1969 batch!

Notes on a scandal

That's one of the movies I watched in the weekend, a really good one...Its a brilliant story more like a surprising thriller; wherein you begin to perceive the world from one woman's eyes only to realise that her perception is wrong! Its mainly about two weak women, emotionally weak in different ways.. one mostly alone but alert (Barbara) and the other in a complete family home but mostly aloof (Sheba). Their meeting place is the school they teach in, while Barbara is a year short of retirement and Sheba is new to the school. Sheba commits the mistake of getting involved with a student, maybe just slightly older than her daughter, which becomes Barbara's blackmail chance to get closer to Sheba, pull her away from her world and carry out things in her manner.Not too far from the scandal and the shame Sheba has to go through, she realises that Barbara is no lesser than a "vampire"!
