Colorful Updates!

Happy Holi !!!

Here's some colorful news for a change! LOL !! ;-)

- Dubai stocks fell like crazy yesterday with investors panicking. Not that the trend has been healthy in the past 2 months. 2006 had no great start too but 14th of March was scary with the indices dropping down by 12 pc in one day, which would mean more than 50 pc fall from November 05( highest ever)!! Emaar also reached its lowest ever along with many other major stocks.Yea, volatile market and suddenly the region seems to have calmed down from a single-day experience cos even the Saudi markets dropped around 5 pc and about 3pc fall for Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain. Not great news but calls for patience...it was called "Black Tuesday".

-Did you know that Jayalalitha, the CM of Tamil Nadu has been nominated for Nobel Peace Prize this year? The World federation of Tamil Youth has nominated Jayalalitha's name from India, Sharjah(UAE) and the US, for her "dedicated efforts in ushering Peace, Performance, Progressiveness, Productivity, Partnership and Prosperity for the people of the state during the last five years," its president Dr Vijay G Prabhakar told reporters here. "We would also be celebrating April 14, the Tamil New Year as 'Selvi J Jayalalithaa day' in 15 countries, highlighting the progress of Tamil Nadu under her leadership,"he said. If you are shocked, I would like to tell you that I share the same feelings!

- Etisalat has finally finally signed the PTCL deal and captured 26 pc control by UAE telecom, after many months of issues and missed dates. The deal is a remarkable achievement from perspective of share holders, customers and even the relationship between the nations. I believe the next nation targetted is Afghanistan.

-Malaamal Weekly opened last week and it has created positive response, after his big hit and much-talked-about Garam Masala.I am sure Priyadarshan is much celebrated in the South but these days people of the North seem to be looking out for him constantly. Don't get lost , I am talking about famous movie director who has amazing ability in converting his Malayalam flicks to Hindi ones. His casting is pretty good and he manages to make an average performance on on his family entertainment- nevertheless they are any day better than n number of sense-less movies made in Bollywood.

That's all I could think of writing now...Enjoy the festival!

Suddenly I feel there's time in my hands....the following thoughts cross my mind... - that model on the cover looks awesome, how is that so? - if they actually airbrush pictures , then how come there is a good looking category? - i want to see a brand new juice in the market, tired of the same old ones... - i feel like shopping often.its more a thought than action. - i like clothes that some other women wears...i want stuff like those! - how come there is traffic only when i want to drive? - water is good for me, very good....keep drinking..has anyone tried flavored water? - is flavored water as good for health? - how come some advertisements are soooo good? is it just one person or a team? - when everyone is busy how come i have time? - how is it that my phone rings only when i want to sleep or when i am occupied? - why do i get tanned so quickly? - how come technology is always surprising to me? - why didn't i get into sports or music when i was younger? - why is it that some ...

Hey!!!

its been a while since we have had some news....s0 here we go, The most famous 22K jeweller ,probably globally, has asked its male employees to shave off their moustaches +facial hair to keep up with their jobs!the examples are set by the owner, himself ,the managers and all the male employees irrespective of the hierarchy!now,i find this news very very interesting!having to look formal is part of most jobs but shaving off moustaches, what formality would it create?does grooming have to go to this extent???what is most capturing is the 'pride' of these men who hail from the land that claims to be 'God's own country' seems to be hit..... So India and Pakistan,i still believe, could be the best neighbours ever, but we have decided to be influenced by political pressures even after all these years!Anyways, the point is while Indian films are "banned" in Pakistan the Indian stars are not!which goes on to show how strong piracy is.so we have ms rai, going over to thei...

The Rising.....Mangal Pandey

How was the movie?well,to sum it up i was pretty disappointed,i expected a whole lot from this movie which took 2 odd years to complete! The disappointing parts are the unnecessary songs in between the seriousness of the theme.the flow is lost there somehow. Then amisha patel does damage to her role,i dont comprehend who ever regarded her as an actress!the woman couldnot wail well, smile well and not even do the pettiest part of her role any justice!Gosh, what a waste.having a narration with old pictures of about 3 odd minutes after the last scene of the movie, plus the focus on romance spoilt the look of the movie. Though the movie has flaws, the brighter side is Aamir's excellent skills in acting, yet again proven.Toby Stephens is amazing as the William Gordon.Rani did justice to her role but Kirron Kher excelled though she had less than5 scenes in the movie! The frienship between the sepoy and the officer has been done very well and also the daily torture every man and woman had to go...
