Lovely birthday treats!

To begin with I was thinking I shouldn't celebrate this birthday much and all the coming ones. I think it was age was bothering me, though I didn't feel my age at all! But what the heck, I went ahead and did things I've been wanting to do on the day of!

So we headed to Cal Academy of Science in San Francisco (http://calacademy.org/). I've been dying to visit it and finally we made the trip. It was just amazing to spot so many different butterflies, birds, snakes, spiders and fishes! The moon jellies are always like wow-stuff and I had no idea that there are leafy sea dragons! The coral reefs were so pretty and the school of fishes both small and big all entertaining! Their planetarium show was pretty good and they had a global warming section. Overall, worth the trip.

We had Japanese tea at Japanese tea garden right opposite the Academy. This place isn't worth the visit price, but the cherry blossoms were just so awesome. The sight is so lovely. For dinner we went to California Pizza kitchen, a place thats always good and dessert was molten chocolate cake at Chilis! (both places we have not been to in more than 2 years). You can never go wrong with 1200 calories in 1 dessert! LOL!

The best part is the celebration wasn't over yet! Hubby got me the iPhone and that's the new baby I carry everywhere and of course takes a lot of my attention. Besides, all the calls, pings and messages on Facebook were all very sweet.

I got lunch treat from a couple of friends and last night my sweet friend, N, took me for golgappas at this Indian store and took me for a movie "Game". The movie starred Abhishek Bachchan (which is perfect for me), it wasn't a great movie, but hey, we had a great time cracking ourselves up!

The party isn't over yet...I booked a facial for myself and looking for some new hair cut I could get done!

Oh well, after all that pre-birthday thoughts, I guess I'll hopefully enjoy all coming birthdays as well. I am still a kid at heart and believe will always be! And yea, age is just a number, I don't even look my age !

Suddenly I feel there's time in my hands....the following thoughts cross my mind... - that model on the cover looks awesome, how is that so? - if they actually airbrush pictures , then how come there is a good looking category? - i want to see a brand new juice in the market, tired of the same old ones... - i feel like shopping often.its more a thought than action. - i like clothes that some other women wears...i want stuff like those! - how come there is traffic only when i want to drive? - water is good for me, very good....keep drinking..has anyone tried flavored water? - is flavored water as good for health? - how come some advertisements are soooo good? is it just one person or a team? - when everyone is busy how come i have time? - how is it that my phone rings only when i want to sleep or when i am occupied? - why do i get tanned so quickly? - how come technology is always surprising to me? - why didn't i get into sports or music when i was younger? - why is it that some ...

Hey!!!

its been a while since we have had some news....s0 here we go, The most famous 22K jeweller ,probably globally, has asked its male employees to shave off their moustaches +facial hair to keep up with their jobs!the examples are set by the owner, himself ,the managers and all the male employees irrespective of the hierarchy!now,i find this news very very interesting!having to look formal is part of most jobs but shaving off moustaches, what formality would it create?does grooming have to go to this extent???what is most capturing is the 'pride' of these men who hail from the land that claims to be 'God's own country' seems to be hit..... So India and Pakistan,i still believe, could be the best neighbours ever, but we have decided to be influenced by political pressures even after all these years!Anyways, the point is while Indian films are "banned" in Pakistan the Indian stars are not!which goes on to show how strong piracy is.so we have ms rai, going over to thei...

The Rising.....Mangal Pandey

How was the movie?well,to sum it up i was pretty disappointed,i expected a whole lot from this movie which took 2 odd years to complete! The disappointing parts are the unnecessary songs in between the seriousness of the theme.the flow is lost there somehow. Then amisha patel does damage to her role,i dont comprehend who ever regarded her as an actress!the woman couldnot wail well, smile well and not even do the pettiest part of her role any justice!Gosh, what a waste.having a narration with old pictures of about 3 odd minutes after the last scene of the movie, plus the focus on romance spoilt the look of the movie. Though the movie has flaws, the brighter side is Aamir's excellent skills in acting, yet again proven.Toby Stephens is amazing as the William Gordon.Rani did justice to her role but Kirron Kher excelled though she had less than5 scenes in the movie! The frienship between the sepoy and the officer has been done very well and also the daily torture every man and woman had to go...
