Upcoming travel

Not been blogging, just find nothing very interesting to share about! Either life's a drag or I am too occupied to think too deep!! I would like to think its the latter...:-)

I watched "The LakeHouse" about couple of weeks back, it was a bad choice to watch on big screen, total timepass movie and really not worth making a trip to watch it! My Strategic Management lectures are on...they are pretty enjoyable since the lecturer is interested to go into details, give you varied examples and makes sure you are with him on the topic! Due to Ramdan timings I am having no traffic trouble, though the afternoons are still a pain, but I get some nap time before classes and Iftar timing is good to drive to Dubai! 2-day weekends are making a lot of difference as there is more time to spend with family and we leisure with getting lunch/dinner from out, so that's been fun!

Some shopping is on , now need to complete packing.I am off to India for a lill less than 3 weeks -Diwali, granny's bday , temples and friends are what I am looking fwd to.If i get lucky, might go for cousin's engagement too! There's going to be so much travellin in these 20 days that I think I will be in some state when I return!

In December plan to visit sis and spend New Year's there since there are Eid Hols...After a long time we are taking advantage of both Eid holidays here! Will blog when I get back after my trip!
Hoping it wont be maddening/hectic...

Suddenly I feel there's time in my hands....the following thoughts cross my mind... - that model on the cover looks awesome, how is that so? - if they actually airbrush pictures , then how come there is a good looking category? - i want to see a brand new juice in the market, tired of the same old ones... - i feel like shopping often.its more a thought than action. - i like clothes that some other women wears...i want stuff like those! - how come there is traffic only when i want to drive? - water is good for me, very good....keep drinking..has anyone tried flavored water? - is flavored water as good for health? - how come some advertisements are soooo good? is it just one person or a team? - when everyone is busy how come i have time? - how is it that my phone rings only when i want to sleep or when i am occupied? - why do i get tanned so quickly? - how come technology is always surprising to me? - why didn't i get into sports or music when i was younger? - why is it that some ...

Rare Snow day! 01/10/2021

After a grilling 2020, 2021 started out with a mixture of emotions - grim but hopeful, distant from family but long WhatsApp calls, rainy but looking forward to the sunshine in the coming days. A lot of R&R is how we started our New Years, thanks to the long weekend. We read, watched tv, cooked and slept a lot!  Once work started, it didn't even feel very different from the past few weeks. Unfortunately a few days into the first working week, there was chaos in the DC Capitol and many State Capitols. A riot started by an infuriating and possibly out-of-work men and women wanting to display their passionate support of an incapable President. Back to feeling uncertain and grim about the future, we were surprised by Mother Nature providing us a rare snow fall day here in Austin, TX! It was simply amazing and a great 2nd Sunday of the year where we got 3.5-4 inches of snow ! The sights were remarkable during and after the snow fall. The entire city and neighbors were thrilled...

Uniquely Singapore-Day 3

As decided we started off to Sentosa island after packing some sandwiches and juices in for the rest of the day.Sentosa was some awesome experience. "Images of Singapore" being the best visit with the highlight of what makes Singapore and the wax models of the famous Raffles and other political leaders, also display of different birth and wedding ceremonies conducted in S’pore. The country takes its name from 'Singapura' which means land of lions, as seen by the fishermen in the early days. The "sky tower" by Carlsberg company was worth it too, where we got to see Singapore from almost 130 meters above sea level-this probably being the highest view of Singapore. Cinemania was fun but I have had better experiences before. Not to forget the Underwater world was amazing with almost 2000 different fishes, 100 different crabs, the Dugong attracting a lot of attention. This fish is named Gracy because of her graceful movement. She has the face of a baby cow, body ...
