J.K.Rowling's fourth adventure

Most of you would have kicked off the new year with parties, i did so with a movie.

I am not a Harry Potter fan and I am quite amazed at Rowling's success and also the movies'. Nevertheless I was invited for the fourth film and I thought "what the hell"!

Since I hadn't read the book, the expectation was minimal and I must say it was pretty enjoyable.More than Radcliffe I enjoyed watching Rupert-an adorable adoloscent and he did demand attention by his genuine skills!The movie is about Potter being chosen to participate in a tri-wizard tournament, against his wish and the tasks he is assigned in different stages.

Go watch the movie to experience adventure in a fantasy and fiction land of wizards and witches...all in a school that is run in a castle.They have got the budget and quality shows....

Now, if you have read the book, I am note sure if you would enjoy the movie....mostly that's not the case if you know more details from the book!

Fun weekend trip!!

South Lake Tahoe (Nevada) was our adventure trip this Saturday, about a 4 hr drive from where we live. we started early and until halfway i put my driving skills to test! the tuf time was for my hubby, not me...i was just glad at the opportunity!! :-)So i survived till Sacremento( i didnt know it was capital of CA). 2nd half of the drive was mainly on winding roads around the mountains while elevating yourself upto 7000ft! it was amazing as you get a scenic view of mountains n the lake below! awesome!! Once we entered the resort we first got a booking for para sail...I must admit from a distance it did look a bit too wild and so-not-like-me venture...but then the whole idea was to explore and try out new things...so went for it - from the 3 different heights of 400/800/1200ft we chose 800ft! i cudnt believe it myself, but i was in for it. so we walked around the beach area n enquired abt jet skiing while waiting for the parasail call.they made a group of 3 (a mother-daughter, a coupl...

The 1969 reunion!

My dad is currently enjoying "retirement", he recently tells me that he is soon having a 1969 college reunion! While just hearing that got me excited, the stories of how he found his college mates after 42 years was even more interesting. To begin with, he bumped into one of them and that kick started the whole process. They chatted about what they have been upto so far in life and if they were in touch with others. From there on, one thing led to another, he tells me. He met up with a few who never left town and stayed on for all these years. Today, they have managed to arrange a gathering of 25 classmates, all this without the involvement of Internet at all! Dad tells me that a couple of never touched a computer! That just concludes that the Internet is overrated and its sad that even if we are equipped with more tools, no one has time for another. So meeting up is pretty much a big deal in today's world. So proud of the 1969 batch!
