My hectic day intro would have given you a feel of what this week at work would have been.Sunday was not very asking.But Monday was long with classes to attend in the evening .Tuesday was better without any guests in office ,but workload was high by then .All the pending stuff had to be completed.Today was cool, small meetings,explanation of current work process,closing all the month's work went off smooth.Just want tomm to be even more cooler and without any last minute activity! What did i write above?Help!!!

Movies in the middle of the week --rare experience ,even during college days!Caught up with Wes Craven's latest experiment last evening. Movie offers:- a)Impressive lead casts-Rachel McAdams and Cillian Murphy. b)Good enough pace and plot c)Keeps up with the theme without doubt Strong points like the above make the movie a very good time pass but I wouldn't recommend it strongly,something is missing in it.I am sorry,can't explain the "something"!Maybe it's just me! The movie rating-5/10.

To explain that,it was 24th of September 2005 was for me! i woke up around 0545 hrs to get "in time" to work as we were having a meeting.By the time I got in my car around 0635 hrs and drove I thought i would reach office much beforetime but my calculation was wrong.The traffic was crazy--school buses,office buses,loadsapvt cars(1 is mine!)and mini vans all rushing up to reach Dubai "in time".I got to office only at 0815hrs!!yea,thats Traffic for you here! My manager was waiting to start prep for the day's meeting so as soon as i got inwe rushed into it and finished up with that,arranged the desk etc.Our guests camein about 1030 hrs and we kick started with the meeting soon after round ofintroductions.Now,I thought our presentation was quite short but i was wrong.Thequestions were many,explanations were huge,some deviations in between and about1200 hrs my UK boss walked in and we totally cut off to listen to the latest happeningson the new projects.He had to lea...

What are almost perfect evenings made up of?well,i just had one,so here's the description; a-Driving your car soon after service, giving you the feeling as though you just purchased one impulsively! b-Make crisp french fries at home n finish a plate of them in less than ten mins! c-Chat with sis,lotsa fun with the cam n voice chat thing,to hear your loved ones laugh over such long distance ,all these tech things seem a true blessing then! d-Go shopping and the pleasure of finding some nice skirts,jeans n casual tops that fit perfect! e-Have pizza for dinner,ahem! not an event i know...but i love them! All i am left with is to listen to some random slow songs on the radio to finish off perfect !!!

So,its back to the movies after a break of about a couple of weeks.I went to watch "The Brothers Grimm" with friends last evening. The movie is a combination of fantasy ,fiction and thrillers ,though the last feature applies only to kids!Matt Damon(Will Grimm) and Heath Ledger(Jack Grimm) carry out their roles pretty well though Ledger is more adorable in terms of his personality suiting his role perfectly!The brothers who move from village to village earn fame by bogus methods to throw away 'evil creatures',finally end up with the French king's challenge to find out the reason for missing children in a particular village.The true challenge then begins and Jack Grimm makes use of his knowledge on fables.Monica Belluci looks fabulous as the Sleeping Beauty,while Lena Heady as Angelika is ok too. I am not sure if you have also noticed, but in the recent past, the aviation world has seen a lot of accidents and deaths. -Mandala Airlines crashed at Sumatra yesterday,killing all the passengers cabin crew! -A peru airline crashed at the Amazon jungle 3rd week of August -A west Caribbean airline crashed at Venezuala killing more than 150 in the 2nd week of August -A Cypriot airline crashed at Athens,killing all on board,again 2nd week of August -A Tunisian airline crashing at the sea off Sicily killing 13. -Start of August saw an AirFrance crashed on landing at Toronto,luckily all passengers and crew members survived. -In July there was a Russian aircraft that claimed the 60 lives when it crashed in flames into a jungle. The weekend started off early this time since we got a holiday on Thursday!So an excellent start to a cooler month.now a holiday comes after a long long time and was certainly more than welcome! Wednesday evening was fun-long drive with Sam n JJ andwe almost lost our way more than couple of times!we chatted quite a bit, though we found gaps wondering how to fill it up and Sam was too busy with his office calls.it was particulary fun to rest on the rocks and enjoy the cool breeze of the evening and more fun was filling Sam's car with all the beach sand! :-) Thursday was a slow start,watched tennis matches in the afternoon and then we went to Arabian Ice City at the Convention Hall.The place was actually for kids since its part of the DSS and the entrance fee was actually not worth it for adults.the place was made primarily of thermocol to give it the 'ice' look.there was just one room with ice sculptures and that was pretty cold with the temperature to maintain ice.other are...

Well,not exactly what i did for the weekend but the movie i watched. Will Ferrell and Ronal Duvall play father and son and their rivalry is the focus of the movie.This family entertainment is all about the son finally earning his father's respect.The comedy is pretty good and the kids made the viewing worth it!In particular i liked Dylan Mclaughlin (as Will's son) and Elliott Cho(the cute Chinese).this movie is relaxing and a good break.Now I hadnt ever read about the movie or seen a trailor before going to watch it but with zero expectations i enjoyed this one! :-) Thanks Sam for the pizza and the ride!! its been a while since we have had some news....s0 here we go, The most famous 22K jeweller ,probably globally,has asked its male employees to shave off their moustaches +facial hair to keep up with their jobs!the examples are set by the owner,himself ,the managers and all the male employees irrespective of the hierarchy!now,i find this news very very interesting!having to look formal is part of most jobs but shaving off moustaches,what formality would it create?does grooming have to go to this extent???what is most capturing is the 'pride' of these men who hail from the land that claims to be 'God's own country' seems to be hit..... How was the movie?well,to sum it up i was pretty disappointed,i expected a whole lot from this movie which took 2 odd years to complete! The disappointing parts are the unnecessary songs in between the seriousness of the theme.the flow is lost there somehow.Then amisha patel does damage to her role,i dont comprehend who ever regarded her as an actress!the woman couldnot wail well,smile well and not even do the pettiest part of her role any justice!Gosh,what a waste.having a narration with old pictures of about 3 odd minutes after the last scene of the movie,plus the focus on romance spoilt the look of the movie. Though the movie has flaws,the brighter side is Aamir's excellent skills in acting, yet again proven.Toby Stephens is amazing as the William Gordon.Rani did justice to her role but Kirron Kher excelled though she had less than5 scenes in the movie!The frienship between the sepoy and the officer has been done very well and also the daily torture every man and woman had to go...

If you live in the UAE or other Gulf countries, you will probably be excited about THE day! Thursdays have always been the most loved day for me! You get to enjoy a late evening even if you are not partying, you at least have the energy for watching a movie/dining out/meeting families, whatever that maybe! When things were much sober in this country, I am talking during my early years in school, there were just 4 channels, yes just 4, that we could watch. They were Ch33 (called ONETV now), Sharjah TV, Ajman and Abu Dhabi channels.Sharjah and Abu Dhabi were the most boring since all the programs were in Arabic. We could watch about 2 hours of cartoon on Ch33 and Ajman.There was nothing in Hindi as such available then, except of course, the first thing on Thursday morning was to check on paper what movie was being shown that night! The days we used to miss the cartoons were Mondays and Wednesdays due to dance classes! And yes, dance classes were therefore a pain then! We used go cycling ...

Its been a while since I have blogged....not that someone would miss it.But I miss it ,since I have my diary collecting dust in a corner and last night when i looked at it I realised its really been a while. Nothing much,I have just been trying to keep up with the assignment deadline and since its the subject that i am trying to like(but still hate),its not been easy.In a way I think its not been that bad but writing has really taken a long long time.If the draft is approved I am left with the final touches.
